Batman v Superman Costumes

Ok so after a great deal of time DC has finally released all of the images for Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. Lets take a peak.

Superman

So I have said this more then once. Batman v Superman has taken a bit more then a hint from the Dark Knight Returns and this is no exception. The overall costume has not changed but you can see that Clark is keeping his hair in check to have more of that boy scout look.

Wonder Woman

I was a little disappointed in this costume. With Wonder Woman you there are to different ways she can turn out. A Warrior or a Model. And it looks like the costume is leaning more toward the model version. I was hoping for a little more armour for this, maybe a gauntlet or arm brace. But I do like how they are keeping true to the wonder woman costume design. And I don't like lack of shield and I think the sword looks rather dumb. It looks like a plaything, they should have given her a Greek short sword.

Batman
He's BATMAN!!!!!!!!
This is an excellent costume from the Dark Knight Returns symbol to the small ear design on the cowl. The cape had enough drop to it to cover batman but it's not frilly enough to be like Superman's cape. Love the costume but still worried about Ben's acting chops for the role. But he looks the part.

So what do you think?

Marvels New Changes

So as we all know comics need to keep things interesting and Marvel has turned a great many heads with these 3 new announcements let us complain.

 Sam Wilson is Captain America
In the latest issue of Captain America Steve Rogers has been drained of his super soldier serum and is small once more. So in order for the world to still have hope he paces the mantle of Captain America along to his trusted friend Sam Wilson. Personally I like this change, adds more to Sam Wilson's character and it would be cool to see him meet the demands of being Captain America. Also think this is good because Sam has been spending to much time in the "sidekick" role and being made Captain America would allow him to stand alone, by himself and man up. But I  am said to say that this won't last. I think I know how his run a Cap is going to go.
  1. He'll get the shield
  2. Question himself
  3. The public won't like him
  4. Lose his first fight with the villain
  5. Get a pep talk from skinny Steve Rogers
  6. Defeat the villain
And then Steve will take up the mantle of Cap once more in a year or two. However I am hoping for this and I hope Wilson is a good Cap.

Thor is a Woman

Now I don't like this. There is nothing wrong with Thor being a woman but I think there doing this for the wrong reasons. Obliviously marvel is doing this to try and create a strong Female leading character with the power to back it up. But giving Mjolnir to a random woman I am against. I know she is going to be worthy of wielding it but it's unnecessary. Marvel all ready has a slew of strong female characters that could easily promote gender equality. Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Maria Hill they would all do but they shoehorn a female Thor in. And the worst part about this is the fact that it won't matter, the original Thor will just come back and make all of this obsolete. This female Thor won't have her own legacy it will just be defined and then become part of the real Thor's. Marvel should focus on cementing the changes that they have already made instead of just making new ones. I really think they need to work harder on making sure that Miss Marvel becomes Captain Marvel because when ever I think of her I think of her as Miss Marvel. And I also hate how writers just reuse the same old Thor stories over and over.
  1. Hidden evil
  2. Frost giants
  3. long lost siblings
  4. LOKI!!!!!
Superior Iron Man

Oh man this I am enjoying. The last time we saw a Super hero barring the title Superior was when Otto had taken over Spider-Man's body. And I that alot of people hated it because is tarnished good ol spidy. But lets look at what it also did. It made Spider-man comics popular again. Unless your a die hard Spider-man fan you would never keep buying all of the Amazing spider man issues "I mean its spider man nothing bad's gonna happen to him" you said. But then he was dead so now we needed to know everything Otto was up to and hope beyond hope that he would be the Spider-man we wanted. Despite the fact he wasn't. And I am cautiously exited about how they are going to put that spin on Iron man. But I my not like it and that could be the point.

So Marvel's big changes did you like them all, hate them all, do you even care? Tell me what you think. And how would you do character change.

Big Hero Six Trailer

Alright so as part of the Disney Marvel alliance we have seen a army of Super-hero movies. And with no doubt we will be seeing a great many more. But in a gutsy move at trying to convert more people to the grand empire of Disney has started to make an animated movie.

The movie is about a small team that marvel never really had success with called Big Hero 6. The team is made up of several Asian members and there base is in San Fransokeyo. I won't go into the members because I don't know them, but I do know I liked the trailer. It was a very funny, upbeat Disney movie trailer. And I think that this new form of making some superhero movies for younger kids are a good idea. One it means that they might look at some of the more violent movies when they get older and two it would give them more material to work with when making movies.

I have nothing but high hope for this film and I can't wait to see it. But I am tempted to know what you think about it.

NERF GUNS!!!!!

NERF GUNS!!!!!!!
AHHAHHHHHHHHHHH

Yah I like Nerf guns. I don't know there just fun. When I'm bored all I have to do is shoot a bullet at my brother and we have like 3 hours of fun ahead of us. Also when you have a group of friends over for a huge Nerf War that's just awesome.

But I also noticed that people tend to choose a fighting style when it comes to Nerf guns. They either load up on the huge gun and try to mow you down. Or they take a bunch of small and never seem to run out of those really annoying small pistols (you know what I'm talking about). Or they fight like a soldier with a big gun then a small arm........or a Captain America shield they made out of card bored.

So what kind how many Nerf Guns do you have? Whats the biggest Nerf war you've been in? And what kind of Nerf fighter are you?

Underrated comic characters

OK guys so this post is all about Underrated Comic Characters. You know those characters that are pretty awesome but just done't just get the attention that they deserved. Now this isn't involving statistics or polls it's just characters that feel are cool but don't get recognized for it.

Marvel Ares

How many have seen this guy? Not many I presume. Ares joined the comic roster during the Civil War event. He was part of Tony Stark's Mighty Avengers and was major part of Norman Osborn's Dark Avengers. I liked the guy. He was gruff and tough like wolverine but he also had a godly personality like Thor. But unlike Thor, Ares wasn't righteous Thor was all about the glory of battle while Ares saw it as a job to get done. He was a warrior seasoned and bloody so it was that form of a darker god that I thought was really cool. Thor is really the only god among men when it comes to comics so to see this gruff warrior stand with the Avengers and fight the good fight (I also feel bad for the guy since everyone prays to Athena for luck in battle when Ares is the GOD OF WAR. But sadly Ares had a downfall. After Ares joined the Dark Avengers he started to be used as a tool and wasn't to bright when it came to picking his fights. So the God of war found himself ripped in half by the Sentry during the Siege of Asgard. Lets hope War comes once more.

Captain Atom
More of you will know this guy. Captain Atom was a very early super hero but has not enjoyed the spotlight as much. I manly got interested in him during the New 52 when he became more of a Doctor Manhattan. One thing I always like about heroes working with the Military is when they questioned themselves. When they have to choose to wipe out a village or save it. Also I think that captain atom should always be considered a deterrent when it comes to dealing with Superman. They've had some pretty awesome beat downs.
Blue Marvel

Now there is one problem in comics that has troubled them for generations. Superman is White!!!! And with the growing need for diversity in comics a great many black characters have been made. But Blue Marvel stands out to me. A lot of times in comics a character is made black just for the sake of making them black. And maybe Blue Marvel was for the same case. But they also touched on it. The Blue Marvel Miniseries told the tragic tale about how a man with great power and a strong moral compass was forced to hang up the cape simply because of his race. And that showed how the dark and unfair the world really can be. It's not enough for a character simple to be black they have to be fleshed out and made real. With a personality of there own and something other then their skin colour to make them unique. But sadly the writers at marvel have not made the push to make Blue Marvel a important characters. I mean you could easily take out Hyperion who is just a rip off superman and Nightmask who was made black for diversity sack. It's time for Blue Marvel to be in the spotlight. Give the man in Blue his due (ha I made a rhyme)

Simon Baz

Now to be honest I don't like this guy. He kind of just showed up and then they forgot about him. I read his back story and it was awesome it was much darker then all the others. Baz was fearless because he had to be in order to survive and pull of the these car robberies. Then they gave him a ring and he was off...........for about three comics. I don't even know what DC is doing with him right now. But there needs to be more for this guy.  More MORE!!!!! MORE!!!!!

Beta Ray Bill

This guy is cool. Bill showed up in a Thor comic awhile back. When his people were under attack from demons they left their planet in stasis pods. And out of the whole race Bill was chosen to guard them. He was outfitted with technology and weapons to become the greatest achievement of his people. But one day Thor found his ship and like most people amused that the horse faced cyborg was evil. But it turns out that bill was a righteous warrior capable of lifting the mighty Mjolnir. And after helping Thor battle the demons that attacked him Bill was awarded his own magic hammer, Storm Breaker! And then he was gone. Never once did he appear in any other comic or join any super hero team, he was gone. Which stinks because bill showed us that it doesn't matter what you look like, if you fight the good fight people will respect you. Currently Bill is fighting with the Annihilators but I want to see him on Guardians of the Galaxy. There he could become fleshed out and bring a little nobility to the flawed Guardians. Plus he would add some much needed muscle to the team (sorry Groot)

Aquaman

YOU KNOW WHAT I WANT DC!! MAKE IT! MAKE THE GOSH DARN AQUAMAN MOVIE!!!!

So there you have it. A list of underrated comic characters. Do you think I missed anybody? Who do you think is unappreciated and what would you like to see in an Aquaman movie?

Saving Mr. Banks review

Ok guy how many of you have seen Mary Poppins? How many have read Mary Poppins? How many of you knew how hard it was for Walt Disney to make this movie? I didn't. But I also didn't know how dark this book was.

When I saw the trailer for this movie I thought that it was going to a fun movie filled with mouses and Mary. But instead I saw a very dark movie that wrenched at my soul. So in the movie we find out how the author of Mary Poppins based the book on her life and we saw that mister banks is really based her own father. And at first it was great. The actors were funny there were some flash backs, the father was a really funny imaginative guy but then it gets darker. The father starts drinking and gets sick, the mother tries to kill herself. It wasn't very bright. And wasn't what I was looking for.  I wanted to see Tom Hanks(Walt Disney) try and try to fit all the needs of a stubborn writer but be able to make it a Disney movie. But instead I say a movie that was full of dark themes with a slow pace. So in the end I was disappointed.

So Saving Mr. Banks? Did you see it? Did you like it? And what is for favourite live action Disney movie?
